Summary •The Accounting Analyst acts as an internal business consultant to all levels of leadership and is responsible for conducting various types of analyses including a written financial analyses on a monthly basis and update of annual forecast. Participates in Long Range Forecasting and Capital Planning. Works with all levels of the organization, including frequent interaction with leadership. Duties •Ability to plan budget/forecast process for division and assigned tasks to meet teams deadlines •Work with limited support of management to support Administrators. Minimum twice a month be on site to support the Administrators and lower level division management throughout the year. Lead / Co-Lead a function of the budget rollup process •Provide division level changes and comparison to actuals for each rollup. Division key drivers impact, new lines of business for division, and other projected new impacts on division analysis as needed. •Detailed division review by account and by cost center. When discrepancies are identified communicate proposed solution to Management. •Ability to explain solutions and recommendations to management with high level of understanding for assigned units / accounts •Detailed understanding of the division assigned (ie hospitals, physicians, fixed units, etc) general knowledge of other divisions •Lead payroll process within Finance. Have in depth knowledge about the impact of payroll in GL and EPSI. In depth knowledge of productivity, earnings codes, comp/bonus/benefit calculations, and FTE moves in EPSI/GL. •In depth knowledge of GL and Budgeting systems related to your assigned units/division and general knowledge of all major systems. •Other duties as assigned. Qualifications •Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, from an accredited college or university required. •Certification / Licensure: CPA preferred not required •Experience: Three to five years of related experience in financial analysis required. Two to three years of health care experience preferred. Within 6 month, should adequately perform all duties
