Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager

The FP&A Manager provides financial consulting and strategic support to internal customers and stakeholders in the business, driving continuous improvement to deliverables and processes supporting these customers. They act as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. This position requires someone with a positive attitude and ownership mentality who wants to be part of building the next 100 years of a family led company. Strong collaboration, data analysis and presentation, and process and tool development skills will be critical for the success of this role, along with having the ability to work independently on assigned tasks and responsibilities. Focus on accuracy and consistency of the data and information along with a thorough understanding of the complex relationship between key financial drivers is a prerequisite for this role. Essential Functions Conduct quantitative analysis to understand the past and guide the future. Evaluate optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns. Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators. Determine causes of unexpected variances from agreed upon standards. Oversee the development of rolling budgets, financial forecasting and modeling tools. Improve the company’s profitability by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understanding of ROI in marketing programs, IT development, pricing, new product development, etc. Develop financial models and analysis to evaluate alternative strategic initiatives. Enhance the corporate accounting and treasury functions through analytical review and trend analysis. Assist in the overall financial planning of the company. All other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 5 Years or more of industry relevant experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Excellent communicator, both in person and in writing. Excellent people skills. Must be able to communicate financial details and objectives to a variety of people An excellent teacher and listener Strong leadership skills able to guide a variety of people to a conclusion best for the entire company. Advanced skills in Excel, Business Intelligence, financial planning, rolling budgets and ERP Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects at one time Preferred Qualifications Certified Financial Planner and Analyst or CPA preferred Master’s degree from and accredited university preferred Physical Demands The Administrative Services physical job demands include maximum occasional lift of 5 lbs from floor to 33 inches; maximum occasional carry of 5 lbs for 200 ft; maximum occasional horizontal push/pull force of 5 lbs; frequent forward reach of 30 inches; occasional lateral reach of 12 inches; occasional reach overhead of 75 inches; occasional bend; constant neck flexion; constant fine motor coordination; constant sitting; occasional standing; and occasional walking.
