  About the role:
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective digital marketing strategies that align with our brand and business objectives. Expertise in digital platforms, content creation, and event planning will play a crucial role in driving our online presence and expanding our customer base in the rapidly evolving cannabis industry.
1. Digital Strategy Development: Collaborate with the team to create and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies that promote our products, and brand while adhering to industry regulations.
2. Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content for various digital channels, including social media, website, texting and email campaigns. Tailor content to resonate with different customer segments and stages of the buyer's journey.
3. Social Media Management: Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Create, schedule, and optimize posts to maximize engagement and reach.
4. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Optimize website content and structure to improve organic search rankings. Conduct keyword research, monitor SEO performance, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
5. Paid Advertising: Plan, implement, and monitor digital advertising campaigns, including pay-per-click (PPC), radio, TV, billboard display, and social media ads. Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
6. Email and Text Messaging Marketing: Develop and execute email and text messaging marketing campaigns to nurture leads and engage existing customers. Segment email and text lists, create compelling content, and track performance metrics.
7. Analytics and Reporting: Utilize tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and other relevant platforms to analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Use data insights to refine strategies and make informed decisions.
8. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that could impact marketing efforts. Apply insights to adapt strategies and maintain compliance.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and compliance, to ensure consistent brand messaging and alignment across all channels.
10. Branding and Visual Identity: Ensure all digital assets and content adhere to the company's brand guidelines and visual identity, maintaining a cohesive and professional online presence.
11. Event Planning: Responsible for coordinating, organizing, and executing a wide range of events within the cannabis industry. This role requires meticulous planning, creative thinking, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure successful execution of events that promote and celebrate various aspects of cannabis culture, products and education.

Candidate requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Communications preferred.
• Proven experience 2-3 years in digital marketing.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, social media management platforms, email marketing software, and content management systems.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices and experience optimizing website content for search engines.
• Demonstrated ability to create compelling and engaging content for various digital channels.
• Experience with paid advertising campaigns, including ad creation, budget management, and performance analysis.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations and compliance is a plus but not required.
• Certifications in digital marketing (e.g., Google Ads, HubSpot) are a plus.
