CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER DIRECTOR- The Career Development Center Director provides strategic leadership and direction for the Career Development Center. The Director is expected to collaborate with campus leaders regarding graduation outcomes; develop innovative approaches to prepare students and alumni for a global marketplace; create a vision and provide leadership for the student employment unit; collaborate with academic units to provide information to students choosing a career, preparing for internships and other applied learning activities; and actively seeking workplace partners for placement of students. Duties include analyzing strategic assessment data for use in performance-based initiatives; creating a structure for career fairs and on-campus recruitment for business; fostering relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders that leads to opportunities for MWSU students; creating opportunities for students to utilize career assessment tools; overseeing the student employment program including, the development of training programs for students/supervisors, and the evaluation process. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in career counseling, student personnel, higher education administration, business or related field; five years of experience working in career development (higher education experience preferred) and supervisory experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
