Posting title: Chiropractic Assistant/Front Desk Location: Activate Your Health Chiropractic Schedule: Part time – 29 hours per week, must be able to work 2 Saturday morning per month Position overview: As a Chiropractic Assistant your duties include, but are not limited to performing administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointment, and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include preparing patients for examination. While experience is a plus, we will provide you with training to make your job rewarding. If you enjoy helping people this may be the perfect job for you. Our patients always come first! Essential duties and responsibilities of a Chiropractic Assistant: • Greet patients, collect insurance and payment information, and initiate paperwork as needed • Answer phones and call patients as needed • Manage appointment schedule • Manage waiting room, attend to patient needs, and ensure the office runs on time. • Direct the flow of patient traffic in the office to ensure a pleasant experience for the patient and efficiency for the Doctor • Enter and maintain organized electronic files on all patients • Work directly with the doctor to coordinate patient care • Abide by HIPPA laws regarding sharing of personal medical information • Address patient questions and concerns • Support the doctor’s office and practice goals • Possess reliable transportation and dedication to superior attendance • Cross train in other departments • Other duties as assigned Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Personable with a professional demeanor, able to exercise courtesy and tact with all patients • Familiar with HIPPA regulations • Able to multitask and remain organized and undisturbed under pressure • Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds • Proficiency with standard office equipment • Ambitious, self-starter, and able to produce high quality work with minimal direction and supervision • Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train Education requirements: • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
