The Community Living Supervisor is responsible for immediate supervision of program staff and maintaining day to day functions of multiple homes. This includes assistance in developing and monitoring the implementation of all clients' behavior development and personal plans, keeping accurate documentation, ensuring that the home meets all accreditation standards and other regulations as required. Responsible for providing 24-hour support to clients, their families and program staff on a rotating basis.

Duties:
•Responsible for programming, oversight of medical care, behavior development and overall care and services for people living in the Community Living Homes. CL Supervisors will spend 40% of their time within each house (80% total within their caseloads).
•Responsible for implementation of data-based plans for all clients residing in the home. Provides supervision to ensure effective staff training in implementing all behavior development and program plans. This includes responsibility for organizing and reporting behavioral data.
•Responsible for completing QDDP documentation. Correct action steps on DMH and nurse reports monthly.
•Provide 24-hour support to clients in their homes, community, school, work and day programs for behavioral and medical issues. Provides 24-hour support to Community Living Instructors and to clients' family members. Weekends will be rotated. Communicate any change in functioning, heath status, or behavior to team and Community Living Manager.
•Ensures adequate staffing ratios by preparing a monthly staff schedule based on the approved ISL or group home staffing pattern; manages overtime within limits.
•Responsible for shadowing of new employees. Ensure timely hiring and training of new employees.
•Oversee house accounts and clients' personal spending accounts to ensure that accurate records are kept and procedures are followed. This includes performing an audit of household spending.
•Conduct a weekly review of all MARS and Medications; responsible for signing the back of the MAR to document the review. Any charting or med errors will be reported upon findings.
•Work as fill-in direct care staff in the homes which may include bathing, dressing, toileting, and assisting with adaptive equipment as needed. May encounter risky or aggressive behavior.

A successful candidate will possess:
•Good communication skills, both orally and written.
•A desire to provide direct support to clients with developmental disabilities in their home as part of a team.
•Must be flexible, reliable, dependable and embrace change.
•Must be willing to accept inherent challenges of a 24-hour support system.

Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor's degree or some higher education is preferred. Will consider those without a degree or some higher education but a high school diploma/GED is required.
•Experience: Candidates with a degree must have one year previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities and one year of supervisory experience. Candidates without a bachelor's degree must have three years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities and one year of supervisory or team lead position experience.
•Specific Skills: Maintains safe driving record and current vehicle insurance. Must have reliable, working vehicle. Must have the ability to do simple accounting.
•Other: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and carry a work phone 24/7 in order to respond to emergencies. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have the ability to do basic math. Must be willing to travel within St. Louis County/City, St. Charles County and Kansas City areas as required.
