Description:
The position of receptionist/bookkeeper at Hook McKinley, LLC, is an opportunity for the right person to be a part of a small law firm team that is dedicated to extraordinary client service and legal representation. The position is a 37.5 hour per week opportunity, with paid time off. Preferred working hours at from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. A candidate’s ability to multi-task is required as the position is a combination of bookkeeping and receptionist duties. The ideal candidate for this position will have some experience with Quickbooks and/or double entry accounting, including entry of time sheets, projects and expenses for billing to clients of the firm. Candidate will be able to run accurate profit and loss statements and balance sheets, and reconcile the firms’ accounts. As such, attention to detail, management of finances, and organization is an absolute must. The position will also require a candidate to greet clients, answer the telephone and manage clients’ requests and the appointments. The receptionist is “in charge” of the initial impressions that are left on clients, and therefore, some light chores in the reception area are required. This position will also require some word processing, filing and clerical duties. Therefore, multi-tasking, strong organizational and time management skills are a must. The right candidate will become a true member of the team and will be compensated commensurately with their abilities.
