News-Press Media Group is looking for a highly motivated Local Sales Director, with a proven record of success, to oversee B2B, B2C and National Account sales revenue for a group of its newspaper properties.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to: developing and executing advertising sales strategies to achieve print and digital revenue goals, motivating, managing, and developing local/national sales representatives; evaluating revenue performance against the market and budget; maintaining rate cards; focusing on business acquisition; defining commission structures and overseeing the budget process. The Sales Director will also able to make local contacts and approve orders for processing.

The Local Sales Director is an energetic leader that is dedicated to achieving and surpassing sales goals, developing the sales teams as well as focused on delivering value to our customers. The successful candidate will have 5 to 10 years’ experience in a multi-media print and digital management role, a highly motivated personality, with great interpersonal skills. Solid written and verbal communication skills are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Brainworks Media Solutions is preferred. Candidate should also possess sufficient mobility to allow for business travel, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and legal proof of insurance.

News-Press Media Group is based in Saint Joseph, Missouri and is a part of the News-Press and Gazette Company, a fourth-generation family-owned company also based in St. Joseph, Missouri.
