This position will be a Nursing Schedule Coordinator and will assist in covering all aspects of staffing. This will be an alternating work week of three 12-hour shifts one week, and four 12- hour shift the following week, alternating with the other Nurse Schedule Coordinator to provide continuity of staffing. This is senior-level office support work requiring independent work decisions for complex clerical functions or processes, involving familiarity of specialized terminology and/or software. This position is located in our Nursing Department and will function as a float position providing back-up and support to other staff as assigned. • Comprehensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment. • Comprehensive knowledge of business math computations, grammar, composition, and spelling. • Intermediate knowledge of computer information systems and software. • Introductory knowledge of the principles of office management and supervision. • Skill in the use of a keyboard. • Ability to apply and interpret agency policies and procedures. • Ability to develop and use coding and filing systems. • Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public. • Ability to make complex computations. • Ability to assign, review and evaluate the work of staff. • Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified time frames. • Ability to train and mentor staff. • Ability to develop and implement procedures from general instructions. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility requirements: (The following minimum qualifications will determine merit system eligibility. Allowable experience and education substitutions are provided in italics below the corresponding minimum qualification statement; no other substitutions will be permitted. These minimum qualifications may also be used to evaluate applicants for Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System positions not requiring selection from merit registers.) Two or more years of experience as an Office Support Assistant with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR Three or more years of experience in office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. (Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year.)
