What you’ll do:
NMPRC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor. This position will include providing individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and case management services to clients in a program for persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or substance use disorders. The individual will work with an interdisciplinary treatment team, working in evidence-based treatment modalities that include, but are not limited to Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Depending upon the candidate’s professional background, duties may also include performing advanced clinical social work functions in an evidence-based treatment program, initial and periodic assessments of the clients’ social, environmental and economic background for use in diagnosis, prognosis, rehabilitation/habilitation or treatment planning; and involves frequent contact with other health and social service groups to promote cooperative assistance in meeting the social and physical needs of the patients/clients and their families. Work may also involve techniques of community organization to help facilitate treatment, and normally involves the use of a variety of administration, assessment, planning, psychotherapy and counseling methods and techniques. The employee is expected to work with a high degree of independence, skill, and competence within established policies.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Knowledge of the ethical considerations involved in the practice of licensed clinical social work. Knowledge of methods, principles, practices, and techniques of casework, group work, client-centered advocacy, community, organization, research, psychotherapy, and other clinical skills as they apply to intervention programs for persons with mental illness and/or developmental or physical disabilities. Ability to apply a variety of techniques and methods in the areas of assessment, planning, and individual and group therapy.

Experience and Educations Requirements:
• Licensure or eligible for supervision for licensure
• Individuals who are provisionally licensed are also encouraged to apply. Supervision for licensure can be provided to the qualified applicant.
