  We are a medium sized construction and development company in Saint Joseph, MO. We still have the small family run business feel but juggle many projects at once and are extremely diverse.
We are currently hiring a full-time Semiskilled Laborer

This position is responsible for running down materials, tools, and other supplies necessary for all projects SGC is working on. This position is also responsible for clean-up, organization, and sorting on said job sites, shops, and owned buildings. Finally, this position would also assist with rental property maintenance and cleaning of units when flipping between tenants. You will report directly to the SGC Management Team.
Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am to 11:00am with the possibility of additional hours based on business needs.
Starting pay is $14 per hour based on experience.
We are looking for solid work ethics, positive attitude, and someone who can think ahead.

• Respond to rental issues (emergency and non-emergency) and carry out routine repairs/maintenance as well as apartment turnover for new tenants.
• Final cleaning on all apartments prior to new tenant move in.
• Running down materials for all SGC employees – pickups from shop, suppliers, hardware stores, etc.
• Organizing materials and tools on job sites anything from form lumber and concrete tools to doorknobs and trim putty.
• Picking up trash on sites, rough sweeping, and detailed cleaning.
• Weekly organization and cleaning of shop and storage facilities for materials and tools.
• Be right hand for carpenters as they handle call back work and warranty work on residential projects.
• General grounds maintenance for HOA, pulling weeds, trimming landscaping.
• Shuttling tools between jobs for carpenters, operators, and subcontractors at times.

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must pass background check & drug test
• Good attitude about assisting in other tasks as needed
• Ability to accept and follow directions
• Good sense of direction and ability to find addresses, follow maps, etc.
