Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health challenges? NMPRC is seeking compassionate and skilled social workers to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. We provide inpatient mental health services to consumers with mental illnesses /intellectual disabilities. This is a Department of Mental Health position with the State of Missouri.

• Discharge Planning-Play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for patients returning to the community. Developing comprehensive discharge plans that support continued recovery and stability.
• Guardianship coordination and testimony-Coordinate guardianship packets and provide expert testimony when needed.
• Case Management-Provide holistic case management services that address multifaceted needs of our patients, from mental health care to social support.
• Treatment Planning-Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to create and implement effective treatment plans. Our input will be vital in developing strategies that support patient recovery.

• No on call responsibilities-Hours of work are 8:00 to 4:30 with some flexibility. No after hour calls or responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group therapy/psychoeducation sessions.
• Coordinate discharge planning and community reintegration
• Facilitate guardianship processes and provide testimony in court as required.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic care.
• Manage caseloads effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent state licensure
• Experience in mental health settings, preferably in an inpatient or psychiatric hospital
• Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Will consider BSWs entering an MSW program.
