  Job Summary

The Director of Resource Development develops and implements plans and strategies for income producing resources, including planned giving strategies, annual sustaining membership drive, special project funding and assistance to staff in special events. Responsible for the design, edit, and supervision of a wide range of agency publications (including online), displays, quarterly newsletters and reports; and makes oral presentations, conducts tours and makes calls on individual donors and groups.

Job Responsibilities

Develops and implements a plan and strategies for income producing resources for programs and agency operational needs. This would include planned giving strategy, the annual sustaining membership drive, special project funding and assistance to staff in special event fund raising.
Makes oral presentations, conducts tours and makes calls on individual donors and groups.
Supervises collection of statistical information systems for annual reports. • Works with InterServ staff on annual and special event planning.
Secures financial support in the form of sponsorships, as appropriate, from individuals, foundations and corporations, including those who currently serve the organization as volunteers
Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with major donors
Develops and tracks reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
Maintains confidentiality of all donor and sponsor information for The InterServ Foundation and its affiliates. Qualifications
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience.
Client focused approach in both spoken and written interactions.
Highly proficient computer skills with demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Microsoft Word, Excel and donor database systems. Preferred knowledge of all Adobe Software systems.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities and projects.
Excellent attention to detail and follow through with an emphasis on accuracy.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to take initiative and problem-solve.
Previous non-profit experience preferred.
Essential Functions

Must be able to see and read from a computer screen.
Ability to communicate clearly and articulately over the phone and in writing.
Job Specifications

1. Education: Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or related field. Practical experience may be substituted for education, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the administrative field.
2. Licensure: N/A
3. Experience: 2 Years Experience in Administrative Field preferred
4. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office software and in database administration. Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in written word.
5. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with all people; maintain problem-solving approach with people; patience and understanding of the needs of people.
6. Essential Physical Requirement: Ability to climb stairs. Requires lifting of up to 40 pounds.
7. Essential Mental Abilities: Self-starter. Ability to work with minimum supervision and to work well under pressure.
8. Essential Sensory Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively.
