GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Clinical Manager – Nursing is responsible for assisting the Administrator in planning and developing the services, activities and employees of the department consistent with company policies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Assist the Home Health Administrator with management of home health department
• Assess nursing competencies, including home visits with staff
• Start in-take process for referrals
• Oversee day-to-day operational activities; Provide oversight of all patient care services and personnel including but not limited to:
o making patient and personnel assignments,
o coordinating patient care,
o coordinating referrals,
o assuring that patient needs are continually assessed, and
o assuring the development, implementation, and updates of
the individualized care plan
• Provide nursing services to patients consistent with established professional nursing practices, state and federal licensing regulations
• Audit documentation including Oasis documentation
• Educate staff on proper documentation and regulations, conduct regular inservice training for staff
• Follow up on patient complaints and report results to Administrator
• Ensure patient needs are being met through documentation and follow-up with clinicians, including making sure clinicians are following state and federal regulations
• Responsible for tracking and communicating changes in regulations and Conditions of Participation
• Assist in updating policies and procedures for department, as required
• Responsible for leading and implementing the department’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
• Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri or in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact for Missouri.
• Must have experience with Oasis software
• Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory or administrative experience in the home health field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare home health services.
• Current CPR certification.
• Satisfactory backgrounds checks.
• Ability to travel.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from an accredited college or university
• Previous home health experience
• Personal Experience with a Disability

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold weather conditions. Must be able to travel during various inclement weather conditions.
May be exposed to infections and contagious disease. Contact with participants under wide variety of circumstances. May be exposed to participant elements. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
OSHA exposure Category I – which includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and tissue conditions.
