Daily’s Premium Meats Chooses to Expand in St. Joseph

Daily’s Premium Meats will double its bacon production at its St. Joseph plant and add roughly 100 employees to its payroll

Daily’s Premium Meats, LLC will build a sizeable expansion onto its St. Joseph facility that will more than double its current production capacity.

The company will construct another production bay on the east side of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Currently 2.5 percent of the nation’s bacon is manufactured in St. Joseph, Missouri. With this expansion, 5 percent of the nation’s bacon will be manufactured in St. Joseph.

The total project includes an estimated $95 million capital investment of building construction ($40 million) and new equipment ($55 million). The company projects the expansion to create between 90 and 115 new production jobs with a starting wage of between $47,000 and $53,000.
