Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant will support the dentist during a variety of procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure excellent patient care and comfort. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, organized, and is passionate about helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for dental procedures
• Assist the dentist during procedures (fillings, extractions, crown & bridge, root canal therapy, and dentures)
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
• Take diagnostic x-rays
• Maintain accurate patient records/HIPAA compliant
• Ensure operatory rooms are clean
• Order supplies and maintain inventory
• Educate patients on post-operative care
• Routine maintenance of dental equipment
• Take impressions and pour up models
• Schedule appointments and manage front desk duties as needed
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
• 1+ year experience preferred
• CPR certification or willing to obtain
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Experience with dental software (Eaglesoft) is a plus
