I&M Machine and Fabrication Corp is looking for an experienced Manual Machinist.
Candidate should be detail oriented, responsible for precision machine work, reading blueprints, perform set-ups, operational functions of manual and machine tools to cut, grind, and polish materials.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to read process sheets and blueprints of job to determine machining operations, dimensional specifications, set up, and first part verification process.
Efficient use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.)
Inspects pieces and spot check succeeding pieces for conformance to specification using operation certification knowledge
Experience in how to evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot systems and perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
Fundamental knowledge of metal cutting and machining practices
Any other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly.
Excellent mathematical and computer skills.
