Position Summary
The Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) provides administrative and customer service support to the Loan Officer by managing daily tasks related to loan origination. The LOA ensures smooth communication between clients, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders, helping move loans efficiently through the pipeline while maintaining a high level of service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Loan Officer in managing the loan pipeline, from application to closing.
Collect, organize, and review borrower documentation for completeness and compliance.
Input loan applications into the Loan Origination System (LOS) accurately.
Maintain regular communication with borrowers, real estate agents, processors, and underwriters.
Track and update loan status in CRM and LOS systems.
Schedule client meetings, follow up on missing documents, and ensure deadlines are met.
Support the Loan Officer in preparing pre-qualification and pre-approval packages (if licensed).
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring borrowers feel supported throughout the loan process.
Assist with marketing efforts, database management, and client relationship building as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in mortgage lending, real estate, or financial services preferred.
Knowledge of loan origination processes, FHA/VA/Conventional loan programs, and compliance is a plus.
Proficiency with loan origination software (e.g., Encompass, Calyx, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
