Van-Am Tool & Engineering is hiring a Welding Supervisor to lead our welding department across multiple facilities in St. Joseph, MO. This role oversees a team of welders, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
What You'll Do
Lead, schedule, and supervise welding operations (MIG, TIG, robotic).
Train, mentor, and evaluate welders of all skill levels.
Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer specifications.
Maintain welding equipment, consumables, and supplies.
Promote safety and enforce OSHA/company policies.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of welding supervisory or lead experience in manufacturing.
Strong background in MIG, TIG, and robotic welding.
Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
AWS certification preferred, not required.
